॥ गुरुपादुकास्तोत्रम् ॥
जग·ज्जनि-स्थेम-लया·लयाभ्याम् अगण्य-पुण्यो·दय-भाविताभ्याम् ।
त्रयी-शिरो·जात-निवेदिताभ्यां नमो¯नमः श्रीगुरु-पादुकाभ्याम् ॥ १ ॥
विपत्-तमः-स्तोम-विकर्तनाभ्यां विशिष्ट-सम्पत्ति-विवर्धनाभ्याम् ।
नम·ज्जना·शेष-विशेष-दाभ्यां नमो¯नमः श्रीगुरु-पादुकाभ्याम् ॥ २ ॥
समस्त-दुस्तर्क-कलङ्क-पङ्का· पनोदन-प्रौढ-जला·शयाभ्याम् ।
नि·राश्रयाभ्यां निखिला·श्रयाभ्यां नमो¯नमः श्रीगुरु-पादुकाभ्याम् ॥ ३ ॥
ताप-त्रया·दित्य-करा·र्दितानां छाया-मयीभ्या¯मतिशीतलाभ्याम् ।
आपन्न-संरक्षण-दीक्षिताभ्यां नमो¯नमः श्रीगुरु-पादुकाभ्याम् ॥ ४ ॥
यतो¯गिरोऽप्राप्य धिया समस्ता¯ ह्रिया निवृत्ताः सम¯मेव नित्याः ।
ताभ्या¯मजे·शा·च्युत-भाविताभ्यां नमो¯नमः श्रीगुरु-पादुकाभ्याम् ॥ ५ ॥
ये पादुका-पञ्चक¯मादरेण पठन्ति नित्यं प्रयताः प्रभाते ।
तेषां गृहे नित्य-निवास-शीला श्री-देशिकेन्द्रस्य कटाक्ष-लक्ष्मीः ॥ ६ ॥
இந்த உயர்ந்த ஸ்தோத்ரமானது ஶ்ரீ ஆதி சங்கர பகவத்பாதாள் தமது குருவான கோவிந்த பகவத்பாதாளின் திவ்ய பாதுகைகளை நர்மதா நதிக்கரையில் அவரது ஆச்ரமத்தின் முன்பு முதன்முதல் தரிசித்தவுடன் பாடியது என்று பெரியோர் சொல்வர்.
1] (பர ப்ரஹ்ம ஸ்வரூபமானபடியால்) உலகின் உத்பத்தி ஸ்திதி லயங்களுக்கு ஆஶ்ரயமானவையும், மிகுந்த புண்ணியத்தின் பலனாக மட்டும் த்யானிக்கப்படக்கூடியவையும், அனைத்து உபநிஷதங்களாலும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டவையுமான ஶ்ரீ குரு பாதுகைகளுக்கு மீண்டும் மீண்டும் நமஸ்காரம்.
2] விபத்துகளாகிய அடர்ந்த இருளை வெட்டிவிடுபவையும், சிறப்பான செல்வங்களை வளர்த்தித்தருபவையும், வணங்கும் ஜனங்களுக்கு ஸகல சிறப்புகளை அளிப்பவையுமான ஶ்ரீ குரு பாதுகைகளுக்கு மீண்டும் மீண்டும் நமஸ்காரம்.
3] அனைத்து துர்யுக்திகளாகிய கலங்கிய சேற்றை அகற்றவல்ல பெரிய நீர்நிலை போன்றவையும், (பரம்பொருள் ஆகையால்) தனக்கு வேறு ஆதாரம் தேவையற்றவையும் ஆனால் அனைத்துக்கும் ஆதாரம் கொடுப்பவையுமான ஶ்ரீ குரு பாதுகைகளுக்கு மீண்டும் மீண்டும் நமஸ்காரம்.
4] (பிற பிராணிகளாலோ இயற்கைச் சீற்றத்தாலோ உடலில் ஏற்படும் வியாதிகளாலோ ஏற்படும்) மூவித இன்னல்களாகிய வெயில் கதிர்களால் பீடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு மிகக்குளிர்ந்த நிழல் போன்றவையும், ஆபத்திலுள்ளவர்களைக் காப்பதே விரதமாகக் கொண்டவையுமான ஶ்ரீ குரு பாதுகைகளுக்கு மீண்டும் மீண்டும் நமஸ்காரம்.
5] (ப்ரஹ்ம ஸ்வரூபமான) எவற்றை அடையவியலாமல் வெட்கித்து நித்யமான (வேத) வாக்குகள் (அவற்றின் பொருள்களை ஆலோசிக்கும் அனைவரின்) புத்தியுடனும் கூடியே பின்வாங்கிவிடுகின்றனவோ, ப்ரஹ்ம-விஷ்ணு-மஹேஶ்வரர்களால் (கூட) த்யானிக்கப்பட்டவையான அந்த ஶ்ரீ குரு பாதுகைகளுக்கு மீண்டும் மீண்டும் நமஸ்காரம்.
6] எவர்கள் தினமும் அதிகாலையில் தூய்மையும் பக்தியும் கூடி (இந்த) பாதுகா பஞ்சகத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களோ, அவர்களது க்ருஹத்தில் ஶ்ரீ குருநாதரின் கடாக்ஷமெனும் லக்ஷ்மீ (தேவி) நிதமும் குடிகொண்டிருப்பாள்.
மூலம்: இது தஞ்சை ஸரஸ்வதி மஹால் புஸ்தகாலயத்திலுள்ள கையெழுத்துப் பிரதியிலிருந்து கும்பகோணம் அத்வைத ஸபா ஆதரவில் பிரசுரமாகும் ப்ரஹ்மவித்யா பத்திரிகையில் வெளியிடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
Elders say that this great stotra was sung by Shri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada when He first had darshan of the divya padukas of His guru Govinda Bhagavatpada in front of His Ashrama on the banks of the Narmada.
1] Repeated namaskarams to the Shri Guru Paduka-s which are (nothing but Para Brahman and hence) the basis of the creation, sustenance and dissolution of the world, which are meditated upon only by the fruit of much punya and are indicated by all the Upanishad-s.
2] Repeated namaskarams to the Shri Guru Paduka-s which cut away the darkness of dangers, those which cause unique riches to multiply, and which give all that is special to those who pay obeisance.
3] Repeated namaskarams to the Shri Guru Paduka-s which are the great repository of water which washes away the mire of all misleading arguments, and which (as the Supreme Being) do not require any other substratum but are in fact the substratum of all.
4] Repeated namaskarams to the Shri Guru Paduka-s which are as a very cool shadow to those suffering from the hot sunrays that are the three kinds of sufferings (due to other beings, natural forces or diseases in the body), and which have taken the vow to protect to those in difficulties.
5] (Since the Guru Paduka-s are Brahma Svarupa,) the eternal speech (Veda) along with the intellect (of all those who think of its meaning) are unable to reach them and comes back with shame. They are meditated upon by (even) Brahma Vishnu and Maheshvara! Repeated namaskarams to those Shri Guru Paduka-s!
6] The Lakshmi (Devi) who is the kataksha of Shri Gurunatha will ever reside in the house of those who read (this) Paduka Panchakam early morning daily with purity and devotion.
